On 15. February
2006 drummer Johan Lei Gellett wrote me a mail requesting me to
come to make a photoseries of his new band, Boat Man Love, when
they performed in Pumpehuset some 10 days later.
I knew him
from the Kira & The Kindred Spirits-days and had met him a couple

He promised that I would like their music, and in the
view of the band members and their past he didn't have to convince me.
front singer, Lars Skjærbæk, from Tim Christensen's
backing band and from one of my favorite Danish bands, Stripclubjunkies.
His brother, bassplayer Troels Skjærbæk, and himself,

Koch, from Marie Frank Band and the Beatles

had a sound similar to the sound by which Bob Dylan shocked the

tunes and some splended ballads such as, My Pretty Blue, Miss
Ohio and Dead And Gone, the latter almost like a Daniel
Lanois-tune. A very varied performance.
Let me repeat my statement:
This band is the best band I've seen on the Danish music scene for a couple of
