Christina Groth
Cafekino, Copenhagen
27. April 2007

There are a couple of Danish artists who are annoyingly overlooked at the music scene. One of them is the great singer, Christina Groth. Others are Louise Hart, Monique, Maya Albana, Maria Køhnke and Ann Louise, just to mention a few.

Christina is one of our greatest singers when it comes to rock with a blues-feeling, almost like a Danish Janis Joplin, without her desperation.
Christina's performance is very suitable for small smoky clubs
, as she creates a warm and intimate atmosphere at the location.

The drummer had newly joined Christina's backing band, in fact this was his third live job with the band. But they played a very tight backing matching Christina's wonderfully expressive vocal.
