Copenhagen City Photo Session
18. August 2002

Since January 2002 I have had an appointment with Freya to have an interview- and a photosession with her. Till now I only had the opportunity to take pictures of her at concerts or at occasional meetings backstage. These casual sessions have always been too short for me to have any influence on the locations or the time Freya was able to offer.
So we agreed to make a photosession during the summer of 2002 and we had the fortune to choose a day where we both had the time and the weather was the best possible, Sunday 18. August. The original plan was to make both the interview and the photos on the same day, but during the day we realized that it was better to pick up another day for the interview.
We met outside Freya's private apartment in central Copenhagen and we improvised through the City of Copenhagen, chasing suitable locations for the photographs.
I was a little chocked to meet a complete blonde, as I expected to see the wellknown blackhaired beauty. But I ended up accepting it fully, as it emphaizes Freya's fragile and compelling feminity.
We worked for four hours, though Freya had just overcome a bad cold and still suffered from a headache, she was sweet and co-operative. She never complained about my instructions, but willingly obeyed my suggestions for posing, though the temperature was close to 30 degrees Celcius.
There are something supernatural about Freya - she seems to be beyond this world. At the same time she can act like a cool super rock star. I tried to catch both personalities with my camera.

(The 11 pictures shown at the beginning are paperscannings and newly added on 29. August 2002.
Rest of the photos are digitally recorded photographs)
