Køge

Teaterbygningen, Bag Haverne 1, Køge, South East of Sealand

Sparkler performed their debut concert in Køge on a windy autumn night. The concert room was rather small, so there was a very intimate atmosphere throughout the event. Freya was dressed in black and need I say that she was sexy as always? She was the natural focusing point in the very masculine band playing some surprisingly hard rock, - at least if you have Freya's former sweet songs in mind. It was a night in the sign of Rock'n'Roll, played very enthusiasticly by the five competent artists. There was a nice contrast between the loud rock music and the blonde and sensitive Freya, making her appear even more feminine than usual. We saw her for the first time playing the electric guitar on stage.
I covered the evening with some live-at-stage photos and after the stage show I did a couple of band photos, which can be seen at the beginning and at end of this side.
I tried to capture the rock mood by the camera by using low shutter speeds in order to catch some of the movements of the musicians and mainly using the available light.
