Olesen + Olesen
Forbrændingen, Albertslund
30. September 2004

I didn't knew much about the Olesen Brothers before their performance at Forbrændingen. But it turned out to be a very pleasant acquaintance. They brought me traces of other great artists of the Danish Rock Scene such as Benny Holst, Allan Olsen and the Master of lyrics, C.V. Jørgensen himself.
Normally I'm not that aware of the lyrics in proportion to the music, but listening to Peter Olesen's excellent playing with the words, one was forced to focus on the lyrics. The songs were kept in a melancolic mood, but given with much humour by the lead singer.
This kind of performance demands a small club atmosphere, so the venue had created a nice cafée spirit by placing small tabels enlighted by candel lights. Only a pity that not more people were present that night.
We got a couple of new unreleased songs with titles such as Solsort og forstærker, November mere end nogensinde and Mit job.
I look foreward to see, if the good spirit of this night can be found on the duo's recorded albums, as well.
