For several years I've wanted to make some live photographs of Tina Dickow and I've written to her a couple of times to get her permission. She used to answer that she already had the photographers, she needed, so the response was negative. So when I repeted my request prior to the Tivoli performance, I was pleased to finally get the answer from Tina that I had hoped for: Yes, that's fine!
Though limited to the three opening songs I managed to get quite a few nice pics of this unique artist. Rest of the pictures I had to take from the crowded audience's site.
Tina played a selection from her amazing back catalogue. Her rather melancolic tunes had some times transfered into quite rocking songs, which gave a nice variation to the experience. Tina also showed up to be a quite a amusing stage entertainer, adding small stories between the songs.
I'm certainly not finished with Tina Dickow! I continue to ask for a permission to do an entire concert with her by my camera.
