year's Award winner, Aske Jacoby, hands over the prize to Per Chr. Frost.

In 2004 guitarist, Aske Jacoby, took the Award (see photos here:
Part I,
Part II).
Thus Aske presented the prize to this year's Award winner, guitarist
Per Christian Frost at a marvellous show at Amager Bio. Aske
performed a beautiful tune, folk-style (reminding me about Bert Jansch
and John Renbourn), before Peter Ingemann gave an
Award speech for Per Christian Frost. And Aske presented
the prize, a model of Ken Gudman's drums, to Per.
The
most moving moment of the night was to hear Per's acceptance speech,
revealing a humble and lovable artist. I couldn't help taking a lot of pictures
of this wonderful moment, maybe too many, but it was really nice to watch this
sensitive face of a great artist. After
Søren Sko's set we got a nice performance by Henning
Stærk singing two songs with his powerful voice. It was a surprise
to me to experience his international style. I indeed want to hear an entire concert
set by him. He appeared to me as the second highlight of the night.
Also the
very reduced Gnags with front figure, Peter AG, did
a very good job. The perfect band to close a succesfull evening. They performed
with the same energy as when I saw them at concert for the first time in 1971!
